Xbox 360 Wireless ControllerSome Xbox Live subscribers recently got an e-mail asking for their participation in a long Microsoft survey. It asked participants how interested they were in certain first party accessories and Live features. Among the subjects was a web browser, a joystick specifically designed for Xbox Live Arcade games, a mini-keyboard you can plug into your controller for text messaging and a black ‘premium’ controller. Check out how awesome it looks! What follows are the questions and pictures.

* How interested are you in purchasing a wireless controller like the one pictured in the next 12 months, assuming it will include backlit A, B, X, Y buttons, rubber grips, a premium color, and slightly improved d-pad performance, and cost $59-$69?

* How interested are you in purchasing a wireless joystick like the one pictured, designed for many of the most popular Xbox Live Arcade titles for your Xbox 360 console in the next 12 months, assuming it would cost between $29-$39?

Here are the rest of the asked questions hinting at future Xbox 360 possibilities:

* How interested would you be in buying an Xbox 360 branded mini-keyboard plug-in device for your controller to make text messaging and chat easier, assuming it would cost between $19-$29?
* Paying per song (~$0.99/song) to download music to your Xbox 360 hard drive from a music service. You would be able to use this service while playing a game.
* Paying a subscription per month (~$14.99/mo) to stream any and all music to your Xbox360 from a library of over 2 Million songs. You would be able to use this service while playing a game.
* Paying per video (~$19.99/movie, $1.99/TV show) to download standard definition full movies and TV shows to your Xbox360 hard drive
* Renting movies (~$3.99/movie) that are downloaded in standard definition to your Xbox 360 until you watch them and then are deleted
* Paying a subscription per month (~$5.99/mo) to access 10-20 internet radio stations streamed to your Xbox 360. You would be able to use this service while playing a game.
* How interested would you be in using an integrated Xbox 360 Web browser that would allow you to access and browse the Internet over your Xbox Live connection?
* How interested would you be in participating in beta tests for upcoming games if they cost an additional incremental fee?

i recently downloaded some of the classic arcade games onto my new 360. Withing minutes i realized it is not the same as the arcade and something was missing. That something was a joystick. So, i purchased the wired joystick made by madcats. I quickly noticed it is poorly constructed. I think microsoft would be smart in designing a duplicate design to the classic arcade system with the ball top but wireless as well. This item would be a top seller pulling in the old school gamers.

I would buy two wireless joysticks. As soon as they came out. Me and my wife are old school gamers. We like the 360 but would love to have a wireless joystick. It would realy help the old game. That we like to play.

    Thank you

Man, I would love to have a wireless joystick from MS. This is my wife and my dream. We are both old school gamers and the Mad Catz with the wire just not cutting it, in fact it’s a disgrace to the next generation console to be wired. The button on top of joystick is an excellent idea but being wired should knock the price down to about $30 and then I’ll buy the Mad Catz. But I really want MS to release one, I know it would done RIGHT…

I agree a back light would be pointless becuase the buttons are memorised as well as the light being a drain on the controllers battery life the arcade stick would be cool providing they start releaseing more arcade games cuz they only have like 8 REAL arcade games and id like to see alot more. madcats just came out with a joystick i dont think its wireless but i might considering waiting for the microsoft wireless one
