Sims 3, Sims Wii, Sims II PS3, SimCity, Black, Lord of the Rings, Road Rash, Simpsons coming from EA
As part of its earnings announcement today, Electronic Arts revealed the release windows of their high-profile games. We’ll list them in chronological order. We hope you like Sims.
* Crysis, Crytek’s hotly anticipated PC shooter, and Army of Two, the co-op actioner for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, will both be delayed until after March 31, 2007 and before April, 2008.
* A new Simpsons game that will be released around the same time as the upcoming movie version of the TV series on 25 July 2007.
* The Sims II holiday edition for Sony’s PS3 will arrive either in the 2006 or 2007 holiday season, likely the latter.
* There is a The Sims Wii title that is being specifically developed for the Nintendo Wii platform, and will be released after March 31, 2007 and before April, 2008.
* There will be another Lord of the Rings game. There’s a new Maxis SimCity game in the pipeline and the next-generation FPS version of Criterion’s Black series. A revival of EA’s Road Rash series of motorcycle racing games is also happening. All set for release after March 31, 2007 and before April, 2008.
* Yes, there’s a The Sims 3 PC game in development that will be released after March 31, 2008 and before April, 2009.
