Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360?

The cover (click to enlarge) of December’s issue of EGM clearly says “Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360?”. Xboxic muses this could this be the final blow to the major exclusives PS3 has over the Xbox 360.

Che Chou, ex-1UP staffer and developer at Microsoft’s Forza 2 team, has this to say about it:

“It’s simply a rumor that Konami higher-ups are pressuring Kojima Productions to consider making MGS4 a multiplatform game because production costs on the game are unsurprisingly high and only getting higher. With PS3 install base numbers not looking all that rosy due to console cost and manufacturing problems, Konami is scared they can’t recoup their investment on only 1 platform alone.

It’s also a nice way to maybe blackmail Sony into giving Konami an incentive [$] to keeping the game a PS3 exclusive, in my opinion. Whatever the case, I highly doubt it’s going to happen so quit building yourself a disappointing kiloton bomb.” It’ll be an interesting 2007 if it goes multiplatform!

YOu are a LOSER, if you want to have exclusive games.

I own a 360, and i would be happy if HALO 3 and GEars of War was released on the ps3, its more money for the publishers, so their next game woould be even better.

If you dont want a playstation owner to play a great game, because they dont own a 360 you have SERIOUS ISSUES, unless you are someone that works for microsoft. or ps3

the fact is. metal gear 2:substinence came out already for the xbox and what happened it got bad ratings and didnt sell well at all. while the ps2 port did very well. now xbox people had a chance to play there games why would he go back now just because u see new trailers its stayin exclusive and kojima knows it

i have to agree with eL MaYiMbE because i played ever metal gear and ill die for that game i got 360 but i dont to buy ps3 just for 1 game but if i have to i will …

plus they will make more fans for metal gear because alot more people have it for halo and they wont play halo all day they will check out new game like metal gear like it and konami will make alot of money

I want to start off saying that iam a die hard imean really die hard Metal Gear series fan so this is what I got to say….

I think that konami has no other choice than to release it on the 360 because if they only released it on the ps3 they will be pissing their own money away and the ps3 is a very low compition copmared to the 360 and wii is a bluff compared to 360. mostly every one in the world who is a true die hard gamer (me) has a 360 I mean if you are wiling to spend $200 extra for a system that has MGS4 (ps3) than you are stupid I mean come on what would you do If you were konami? Sell to ps3 nd not get many sells or go multiplatform and get a sh*t load of more money think people money rules the world konami isn’t signed to sony so imean they have their own choice to make and hopefuly they choose to go multiplatform not only helping the gamers but themselves!

Y.V.Reetesh needs to lurn how to spell. And PS3 in the worst consol ever, it has Nothing! Nothing! everyone just buys a PS3 cause its PS3 the same reason people buy a Honda cause its a Honda, PS3 is just a name.
