Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360?

The cover (click to enlarge) of December’s issue of EGM clearly says “Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360?”. Xboxic muses this could this be the final blow to the major exclusives PS3 has over the Xbox 360.

Che Chou, ex-1UP staffer and developer at Microsoft’s Forza 2 team, has this to say about it:

“It’s simply a rumor that Konami higher-ups are pressuring Kojima Productions to consider making MGS4 a multiplatform game because production costs on the game are unsurprisingly high and only getting higher. With PS3 install base numbers not looking all that rosy due to console cost and manufacturing problems, Konami is scared they can’t recoup their investment on only 1 platform alone.

It’s also a nice way to maybe blackmail Sony into giving Konami an incentive [$] to keeping the game a PS3 exclusive, in my opinion. Whatever the case, I highly doubt it’s going to happen so quit building yourself a disappointing kiloton bomb.” It’ll be an interesting 2007 if it goes multiplatform!

ok i’ma say this where is this shit coming from that the Xbox 360 won’t handle MGS4 1st of all the 2 consoles when it comes to graphic are alike they each are beter depending on games but MGS4 wouldn’t be a problem for the 360 to play so F*CK off if anything just wait and see how it would look like before judging and may i remind you GEARS OF WAR hell not one games to date has surpass its graphics

to tell you the truth i really don’t give a f*ck about the graphics its all about the game play ….. and i don’t care who hates me halo can’t be said that is better than metal gear .metal gear has 20+ years in this industry halo doesn’t half the years. plus metal gear can go on 360 no question about it but as you can see it has only been on the xbox once and that was a while so the odds thats its going to go to 360 is very slim .

ok then let me put this past u, PS3 f*ckas u expect konami to make mgs4 a ps3 exclusive and remebering the cost of the ps3 console (highway robery) and the blu-ray disks??? but if they make it a multiconsole release they will get better sales figures won’t they, if they make it a PS3 exclusive oh well less profit for them.

July 11, 2007 - During its E3 2007 conference, Sony confirmed to its fans exactly what they wanted to hear: Metal Gear Solid 4 is still exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

PS3 owners are no doubt shedding tears of joy.

Sony also confirmed the game would see a simultaneous worldwide release in early 2008. The game’s designer Hideo Kojima will be demoing the game next week in Tokyo, and will be playing the game in front of an audience. Kojima said the game will “look a little crazy.”

*sigh* why are you so mad if MGS4 goes on 360? I mean why be stoked on such a stupid issue. If it doesn’t go on 360 then I’ll get a PS3, but there is a 50/50 chance TO ME and thats my opinion if you cant deal with it then thats your problem and your just a fanboy throwing useless fits. This goes for any fanboy, 360 fanboy or PS3 fanboy. If you think Im gonna buy a PS3 right now just because of some article saying MGS4 is still an exclusive (aka possibly timed exclusive in opinion) then I would be mad. I’ll just wait and see how things flow in the near future. Not just that if MGS4 does stay exclusive then I’ll get a PS3 when the price drops into 2008. So stfu about whether MGS4 is exclusive or not, besides isn’t it about everyone enjoying great games, not throwing false fanboy crap all around. I mean comon the BIG Companies aren’t listening to your stupid comments they are listening to $$$Money$$$. That is just how buisness rolls. I see you didn’t read carefully what I wrote I never said 360 is cheaper. I said it was my opinion “Why do you think there is so many games going multiplatform this game generation, not because of some dumb 360 fanboy or PS3 fanboy, but because of Money, so stfu and gtfo and take your dumb ass fanboy crap with you. Now if I said “There is no way in Hell 360 will get MGS4″ then you wouldn’t be saying shit like you are now, so that just proves that YOU ARE A FANBOY MY FRIEND AND ARE A FOOL. I don’t pick sides I am my OWN SIDE. I am only a fan of great games like the MGS series, Halo, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry,etc. To tell you the truth I think MGS has a better story line than Halo, but Halo is gonna rock online and 4-player story mode, thats all I have to say and if you start throwing useless crap AGAIN then you are a real idiotic PS Fanboy. The only reason why I bought a Xbox 360 this last Christmas is because it had great great games already out and I wasn’t so sure about PS3, but I can tell this coming of 2008 it will be a lot better so I don’t have anything against Sony. Actually I think PS2 was better than Xbox, but then again thats my opinion.

damn this people cant really understand what kojima really want for his final mgs,#1 he want this game to be in a ps3 #2 he want this game to be in a blue ray for huge gameplay #3 mgs 4 will not fit in DVD #4 the gameplay for 360 will be slower it can handle the graphics but the gameplay is slower so please stop posting that mgs is goin for xbox becous kojima already sead it like 1000x that its a ps3 exlusive…
