Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360?

The cover (click to enlarge) of December’s issue of EGM clearly says “Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360?”. Xboxic muses this could this be the final blow to the major exclusives PS3 has over the Xbox 360.

Che Chou, ex-1UP staffer and developer at Microsoft’s Forza 2 team, has this to say about it:

“It’s simply a rumor that Konami higher-ups are pressuring Kojima Productions to consider making MGS4 a multiplatform game because production costs on the game are unsurprisingly high and only getting higher. With PS3 install base numbers not looking all that rosy due to console cost and manufacturing problems, Konami is scared they can’t recoup their investment on only 1 platform alone.

It’s also a nice way to maybe blackmail Sony into giving Konami an incentive [$] to keeping the game a PS3 exclusive, in my opinion. Whatever the case, I highly doubt it’s going to happen so quit building yourself a disappointing kiloton bomb.” It’ll be an interesting 2007 if it goes multiplatform!

You can have Gears of War. Its another way overrated Halo game. The only FPS that matters is Unreal Tournment 3.

Kojima already said no. Everything else is a rumour.

Don’t forget about Sony’s sixaxis controller either. No doubt Kojima already implemented this feature into MGS4, the 360 does not have this feature and redesigning MGS4 WITHOUT the sixaxis for the 360 would cost even more money for Konami.

well, dood, kojima said they used the six-axis to replace the rumble feature, since there isn’t one. but i think that it will be eventually be on the 360. Kinda like what they did with MGS2

“Another day” another new u jakass PS3 fans. y u so mad about loosin exclusives like GTA and DMC4, i mean whats ur problem? IDC if Halo 3 goes on PS3 or even Wii, actually i think muliplatform is much better so everyone can enjoy great games like MGS4. Personally i think MGS has a better storyline than Halo, but Halo has fun ass online, but i like MGS, cause of the story.

I think MGS4 should come out for both systems because of the manufacturing cost of video games now a days. This means less and less exclusives for consoles. Im not a fanboy of either system. i own a 360, but i would buy ps3 the instant they remake Final Fantasy 7, but they wont do it cuz they’re f**ckin’ stupid. Another example why SOny will fail is they haven’t even considered porting FF7 onto the PSP! whats up with this whack crap?

i think that mgs4 should come to the xbox360 cause its the best game ever and i was gonna get a ps3 just 4 mgs4 but if mgs4 comes out 4 the 360 im not getting a ps3
