Final Fantasy Chocobos versus World of Warcraft Blood Elf Mounts
World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade beta testers keep making new discoveries in the upcoming WoW expansion. It turns out the new Blood Elf Mounts look a suspicious lot like the Chocobos from the Final Fantasy series. Outside of Blizzard maybe getting sued by Square-Enix because both overgrown chickens share similarities, oh sorry you’re a fan, I meant to say both noble animal look alike. Well, outside of that tidbit, which do you think looks better?

first of all final fantasy cant even compare with world of warcraft, and for your imformation hawkstriders were tameable beasts before burning crusade was even thought of, i had a hawkstrider as a petfor a hunter, but it beccame rebellious. anyway swift green hawkstriders are lvl 70 and could kick a chocobos ass which die easily if you dont feed them

ok…

chocobos are for transport, not for anything else. i don’t know about these ‘blood mounts’, but they dont only seem to be for transport, but for combat aswell. chocobos and blood mounts cant seem to be compared because they do different things (besides be used as transport). but anyways, lets stop this pointless arguement and just suck up to the conclusion that final fantasy is better, more original (and a bit cheaper) than world of warcraft.

68 night elf druid - Blood elf mounts are purely for transport and nothing else. You CAN NOT attack something in combat while mounted from any mount, blood elf mount or otherwise.

final mounts owns unfortunatly i havent played final 11 coz or credit card but would really like to… i agree with the whole graphics being better however i how that diablo 3 will change the world i mean i bak both square and billz they both bring out mackn games. and bring final 13!!!:D hahaha

Ok idiots…

I played ffxi when It came out all the way until the getting your own chocobo crap came out. I just started playing WoW.

So what? The graphics in FFXI are better, but it has HORRIBLE game play. Oh look im lvl 10 lets go to valkurm dunes. Oh look im lvl 20 finally after playing for like a million hours. Now I get to walk all the way to friggin Jeuno and die a million times on the way and sit for like 8 hours doing the chocobo licence quest. Joy… Now I get to go to Qfim Island and fight shit till im lvl 25 or whatever then i get to waste a whole day trying to get help to get kazham keys or i have to pull 100k out of my ass to buy a kazham pass. and I ONLY can lvl up to 32 in kazham. then i get to go to all the other stupid places and fight the SAME mobs only named differently untill im 75. Oh I forgot to mention. I need a sub job. So I get to lvl another job to 37 to match my main. How fun… NOT. Everything is overpriced to the MAX on AH a lvl 10 +25 mp ring is about 500k…. and I cant quest to get anything because quests dont give you shit, and higher lvl boss fights take like 8 hours to kill one f*cking thing in places like sky. Oh and lets not forget the wonderful expansions that you can only pertake in if you already lvl 75. because the low lvl shit in them sucks ass. FFXI SUCKS IT REALLY DOES. It takes you a whole f*cking day of play if you’re lucky to even get to level 10. wtf?!?! Seriously. FFXI’s pvp system sucks. abilities of every class suck. white mage spells and paladin spells are the same. black mage spells and darknigt spells are the same… its so lame. and did I mention as a lvl 75 warrior you have like what? a max of 1000 hp? ROFL. As a lvl 15 warrior in wow your have that much maybe even lower a lvl than that. So when it comes to ffxi v.s. WoW. Id like to see square transfer every 75 on every server in a battlegrounds of 10 70 WoW players. Not only would the ffxi players get raped but in ffxi you lose exp and can de-level if you die too much. LOL they’d get raped and go back to their ffxi game as lvl 4’s. (You cant lose exp when u die lvls 1-3) then they would get to waste another YEAR of their life trying to get back to 75. and the Hardcore ffxi players would be 75 in a few months of practally non-stop play. how lame. WoW owns ffxi in every way but graphics. but who the hell cares wow looks fine.

P.s. you can be every class when you’re starting up a character. you get to be crappy classes then you can go quest for the good ones at lvl 30. then you have to start all the way over with ur new class and lvl it up all the way again…. and anyone that plays ffxi knows how long that takes. oh and 1-10 is the ONLY time you can play ur class solo. you have to group with morons all the way to 75 from there on. oh and it can take up to 10 hours to find a group to level because maybe a max of 3000 people play on a server. and have of that or more are japanese players who only play late at night. if you’re lucky it’ll take you an hour to find a group. but once one person has to go ur f*cked. oh and to gain one level it takes you about a good hmm… two hours or more.
