Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 surprising (short) release on Xbox Live Arcade ahead of new winter lineup
Microsoft announced their winter lineup for Xbox Live Arcade earlier in the week. Lumines Live was released Wednesday morning at 1AM, with the Advance Pack becoming available today. By early 2007 these other games will go online for you to download: Contra, Gyruss, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (set for November), Mutant Storm Empire, Small Arms, and several others that weren’t revealed.

Surprisingly Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 just showed up on Xbox Live Arcade today! You cannot find it under Newly Released Downloads, but it’s there under All Arcade Downloads for 800 points ($10/€9.60/£6.80). According to Neogaf, a Microsoft employee was getting fired today and said to “expect something big” on Xbox Live Arcade from him. I would definitely wait if this is the case (and it probably is without an official announcement) because you might be paying for an unfinished partnernet version, so it might be best to stick with the free trial demo.
The 43.62mb download is listed as: Single player, Xbox Live Multiplayer 2-4, HD (high-definition). Test your might! Try ULTIMATE Mortal Kombat 3 and see if you have what it takes to FIGHT!
