EA has 30 PS3 games in development. Expects to have 8 to 10 by late March

Madden NFL 07 Hall of Fame Edition (PS2)EA is the king of product releases, and today the company boasted its progress for its PS3 games, stating that 30 are currently in development and announcing that they expect to have 8 to 10 PS3 titles at retail by late March 2007. Including the recently announced Fight Night Round 3 and Def Jam: Icon.

EA will have Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, Need for Speed Carbon, and Madden NFL 07 available for the PS3 at launch (as well as possibly NBA Live ‘07, although it was curiously left off of today’s list).

Battlefield: Bad Company (2007)
Burnout 5 (Q1 2007)

EA execs weren’t bashful about praising the PS3’s hardware either.”This is only the beginning,” said president of EA Studios Paul Lee. “In the months and years to come, developers will take greater advantage of the PlayStation 3’s Cell processors and Blu-ray storage capacity to create games of stunning depth and texture.”
