The description for this GameBoy Advance title reads: “Welcome to The Holy Bible: World English Bible. Now you can bring a small compact copy of The Holy Bible with you where ever you go. Complete with the ability to keep bookmarks and perform word searches. Reading the Bible was never easier.” Released set for November.

505gamestreet says it includes these features:
* Portable version of the “World English Bible 2006″ to take with you wherever you go.
* Quick and easy navigation tools.
* Bookmark Function.
* Reference Feature to allow you to search the text for specific words.

I doubt any critic will dare to give this game a bad review

as a Christian, i’m not opposed to having the bible on a video game. But i do hope the company is a legit one and nothing like those “Wisdom Tree” games that made illegal nintendo games. That was messed up.

But i’m confused as to why there are so many who antagonize this ‘game’. If homosexuality, atheism, and other non-religious ideals of this world have a right to speak their mind of their own lifestyle, why can’t people with religion/faith do the same? I have FRIENDS who are both homosexuals and/or atheist, but we respect each other’s beliefs and do not force it on the each other. homosexuality, atheism, christianity, judaism, islam, etc. Everyone in North America has the right to choose their own lifestyle. it’s inhumane to “bash” those who are not the same as you.

For whatever idiot said this “We need less Bibles and more Spinoza in the world.” its people in this world like you that make me stop and think what this world has come to. dispicable. We need jesus more now than we ever did. And as a christian for 3 years now i whole heartedly promote this game and all i can say is we will all know who is on his side when the time comes! lol i could just see the future…during church the person reading the liturgy walks to the podium, pulls out a gameboy, states the passage and says “hold on, let me find it…” the priest waits 5 minutes, then gets up and says “what are you doing?!?! you hit the wrong button! here, let me do it!”

This would be the most perfect gift! It’s already hard enough for me to remember to study my own Bible, and transfering the words onto a screen would help me sudy better! Me being a nerd and whatnot

I would like to start by saying that somecrazyguy and russel have to be the two most spiritually enlightened people I’ve ever known of, and I would like to say that there are some pro-god/jesus arguments you left out like, for example, the pyramids of Egypt. The pyramids of Egypt are hundreds, thousands of miles away from some of the 40 authors the bible holds, yet they predicted the coming of christ , the death of christ(and that we would alter our calenders to it) and even the apocolypse (we’ve got about 800 years left yet.) and there are also some things to combat the anti-god argument like how all scientific research is not fact, nothing is, it’s just mankinds best guess based on what we see, the sun could be ten feet away but all its radiation could be bent by something and science would never know. so evolutionism is as much fact as christianity, judaism, sikhism, buddhism, hinduism and voodooism(did I get them all?? lol) and nothing, NOTHING can be absolutely proved beyond a shdow of a doubt and nothing can be absolutely disproved beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I think all of you guys have pretty good points (except for you Christian Haters), I don’t know, this is kind of a good idea except for the gameboy advance part. this should be put on the DS instead. (smaller lighter more prtable, I think its better that carrying around a 10pound book all around.)
As a christian who is still learning all about God, (I have recently just actually reading my bible) I would like to have this “game”. It would be better though if they put in a glossary or something, or a list talking about certain subjects, just to make it easier to find the verses I’m looking for.

JKybett , listen….do u really think that the pyrimads can fortell the future? they cant. only god can. and, god told us thazt no one nos when christ is coming back, not even the angels. so i highly doubt the pyraminds can tell us when the apocalyps is going to happen.
