The description for this GameBoy Advance title reads: “Welcome to The Holy Bible: World English Bible. Now you can bring a small compact copy of The Holy Bible with you where ever you go. Complete with the ability to keep bookmarks and perform word searches. Reading the Bible was never easier.” Released set for November.

505gamestreet says it includes these features:
* Portable version of the “World English Bible 2006″ to take with you wherever you go.
* Quick and easy navigation tools.
* Bookmark Function.
* Reference Feature to allow you to search the text for specific words.

I doubt any critic will dare to give this game a bad review

I wonder how easy it is to actually get this game. I couldn’t find it on Amazon, but it’s on the 505 Game Street official site, except you can’t buy it there . . .

Anyway, as a Christian myself I believe it’d be highly beneficial to have the Bible available on all consoles & handhelds. Why not?

There are many people, particularly young people of this MTV generation, that will never pick up and read (key word is “read”) an actual Bible, but if it was in video game form they might think twice about it, especially if it was cheap or a friend gave it to them.

Personally I’d add tons of features, including a voice that reads it aloud and background music, I’d also add “gameplay” sections. As well as multiple versions, not just one version.

And Hibachi, why not have the Koran and other Holy Books available? I see no problem with that (I’m reading an actual book I got from the library right now on the differences between the Koran & Bible).

Actually, I think putting books on game carts, particularly on a handheld like the DS, is a great idea.

As long as they are cheap and offer special features you couldn’t get with the actual book, like a DVD.

I think this is a great oppertunity to share the bible with non believers and anyone who says this is stupid but is a christian must be the stupid one. 4 anyway the bible can get out there and be shared with others is a great oppertunity

Oh Dear… I am afraid this is the most money grabbing idea I have ever heard of. If people will be reading the bible on games Consoles their eyes will hurt and so will there empty pockets..as a Manufacturer you would try to sell this at £15.00? are these people worshipping God or their new BMW?!

hey….you guys are really being fierce about the bible idea. Listen, as a 16 year-old Roman Catholic, I am not against this. Yeah, I’d rather read the bible in book form but my brothers loev the Ds and this would let them read the bible more as they prefer reading off of the Ds.

I think that its neat that they are making this “game”, book more like it. It isn’t just for money and even if it is, tahts not why people would buy it. And I think its great that the bible would then be portable.

And if you are going to be bringing your Ds with you whne you go places isn’t the bible more important than that? Its a great idea to be able to bring it with you.

But I wish they would make one with the Roman Catholic bible. (we have 6 more books than the christian bible) that way I could ahve the whole bible for my religion.

if you really want a bible go buy one or go to church,,,,
it is just dumb that you would even make it into a game…
3 years old? what about all of the offerings that they made and when god told someone to sacrafice their son?

i think it is way to goury for any little kid to be looking at or even reading!

I can’t honestly believe there are this many of you who still actually buy this whole God rubbish. It’s ridiculous. If you new nothing of religion and someone then told you complete bible “story” it would sound far fetched to the point of it being stupid. No, I’m kidding.
