Wii Racing Wheel shown in Ubisoft demo

We previously mentioned Ubisoft’s announcement of the “GT Pro Series” and “Monster 4×4: World Circuit” games including a free Wii steering wheel. It’s not an actual steering wheel though, it’s a plastic steering wheel attachment made by Thrustmaster. Instead of describing it, why not let ze French Ubisoft employee Alexis Bodard show it too you.
To be honest I was paying more attention to the very slick looking black Wii remote controller (that comes with Wii development units such as the one Mr. Bodard is using). Sadly you’ll have to wait until 2007 before the white Wii launch consoles/controllers are joined by that spiffy black color. Thanks for sending the Youtube link Remi.

.. so its like just put the WiimMote in Horizontal position and Use??

Wont be paying anything for that thing:P and It doesnt even have a center shaft or something I guess!

yeha it doesnt have a shaft so its basically like holding it in Air and moving. the movement cannot be correctly crcular.. so its the same as wii mote in horizontal..

Good thing it is free

Reetesh, yep you just hold it in the air, it may be simple, but it comes free with every game, so you can’t really complain about a free gift

PS: I meant it comes free with every Ubisoft racing game.

EVERY game? oh nice. I thiought its only for the UBISOFT game that it is free..:D I am not complaining now:D

I couldn’t watch the video, but seen the picture of it. It looks ok, but the concept just looks the same as the standard Wii Wheel. I just came across this video here of an alternative Wii Racing Wheel. Again, it’s different, but may not suit everyone.
