New Lara Croft Tomb Raider game announced for 2007-2008 on PS3 and other next-gen systems

After about 3 million sales of Lara Croft’s Tomb Raider: Legend (or as we call it Wallet Raider) the series will be returning next-gen, as a first PS3 outing is announced today.

Eidos revealed its plans to release a brand new Tomb Raider title during its 2008 financial year (July 2007 to June 2008), “including a PS3 version” it’s stated in a recent financial report.

C&VG also mentions that Eidos as part of its “2008 and future product pipeline” said to expect new projects from Tomb Raider: Legend developer Crystal Dynamics and Hitman and Kane & Lynch dev IO Interactive.

Ooooh I wonder what those could be? *thinking cap on* Will we see “Painting with Lara Croft” especially designed to show the artistic side of Lara on the Wii? Or how about “Lara Croft Xtreme Sunbathing” where you take Lara on a well deserved holiday break and buy her gifts via Xbox 360 Live Marketplace!

I’m seeing a storyline here were in the PS3 high-res fighting game “Lara Croft Kicks Your Bottom” she emancipates again and doesn’t want your gifts unless its a treasure map with no strings attached. Yeah, I don’t think I’ll be calling Eidos any day soon about my storyline ideas

LOL Lara for Wii, will be Like what everyone imagined they will get to play Skipping rope with here as a exercise in the GYM section!! I think U know what I am talking about

The main aspect of Lara Croft games are GRAPHICS and Graphical Detail more than Story now a days

Oh cool I only played the demo and it was quite good. Have seen many people pay that game 15 time over!! Omg theere must a HUGE fan base for her

And good to see that VGB follows GS smiley code standards

I liked the Tomb Raider Legend game “PC Version,”
but I hope the next Lara Croft game will be a lot bigger than the Tomb Raider

I really like tomb raider legend but it was kinda short. I really liked it though. I have it for xbox 360 and it seemedto easy. I can’t play a game over and over it gets to boring. I really hope there is a sequel to Legend. I want to find out if her mother is alive.

i will be waiting for TOMB RAIDER whatever happeneds. It s the most great, amazing game in the world, and i know gymnastics. but lara is the greatest woman in the world…

OMG, I Loved Tomb Raider Legend but, I was really not happy with the sortness of the game next lara croft game can u make it alot longer but not too long.
