Japan goes Pokemon Diamond and Pearl crazy!

Pokemon Diamond Pearl lines
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl have just been released in Japan today. New information says there are a total of 114 new Pokemon in the two new games, taking the series up to a total of 500 Pokemon! So prepare to fill up those 18 boxes holding 30 Pokemon each, early in 2007 for us English speaking folks. If you want to spoil the game, see all new Pokemon evolutions here.

As you can see from the above waiting line with over a thousand people in it, Japanese young and old are excited. Nintendo put on quite a Pokeshow. The first (unconfirmed) reports suggest Nintendo sold out of TWO MILLION Pokemon Diamond/Pearl copies available at launch, as well as selling out of the extra half a million DS Lites they manufactured especially for the Pokemon launch day.

OMG! Thousand People!! Only if I had freinds with DS only then the new features could be useful to me.. but being a digimon card battle FAn.. I guess I should Finally give POKEMON games a whirl ANd people bought more 500,000 DSes just for this game I am Absolutely Speechless.. This game must be horribly Good! I am getting it!

i heard that they added 112 new pokemon bringing the total up to 498 but i think that there will be 2 mystery pokemon bringing the total up to 500

OMG!!!! I can’t wait to get the game!!! it comes out in Feb. 2007 USA!!! and canada.

i wonder wut the 3 new staters look like in n actuall pic. I hope they look as cool as ppl say they sound. If not that would be a totall letdown. Hopefully this game is wut I think its gonna be. (2 the ppl who have any recent info post a comment).
