Banjo-TooieThat’s right, at X06 this week Rare announced Banjo & Kazooie are making a welcome return on Microsoft’s Xbox 360. It’s not surprising considering how many fans (including myself) there were of the Nintendo 64 games Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie. I like how the pair of platform adventurers are drawn in their latest outing. Here’s the first teaser footage of a tentatively titled Banjo Threeie.

    Yeah, the PS3 is AWESOME! $600 for a system to play one mediocre WWII game!
    *s*

    Banjo and his birdie buddy debuted in their own game on the N64. And the 360 is so not a waste of money. Both Dead Rising and Gears of War are remarkable, inventive games that look and play great, as well as revolutionize their own particular genres. Xbox Live is unparalleled as an online service, and there’s already a large library of games available. If anyone but Sony were building the PS3, it would be doomed. With less than 400,000 units GLOBALLY, none of the game publishers are going to make any money on games for a good long while. (Based on the development costs for the PS2, a game put out by a major publisher has to sell half a million units before they even break even. When the PS3 costs EXPONENTIALLY more to develop for, and simply does not have enough installed consoles for ANY title to make ANY money at all, developers are getting cold feet.) If developers don’t make games, a console will never reach its full potential. (N64, anyone?)

    Regardless, I’m glad to see more flavors of game making it to what’s becoming developer’s second favorite console. (The first is the Wii, just in case you weren’t paying attention to all the business-model-economics-speak above).

    Oh, and #8, if you really think GoW is “*#^,” you didn’t actually play it, or any other solid shooter of any variety. Or you’re just a Sony fanboy, and crippled in the head.

    #11, your a dumb@$$ too, banjo debuted on diddy kong racing, which came out holiday ’97 because rare need more time to work on Banjo- Kazooie (which in my opinon was THE only good game for N64 excluding goldeneye and banjo’s sequel) as for loyalty, i am a proud owner of a wii myself and am pissed at the fact that nintendo is spending money advertising for adult gamer, but comin out with shit like “Avatar” and “Spongebob”. i mean COME ON the wii has SO much more potential then that! also the fact theres a lack of dvd player dissapoints me, but thats another disscusion all together. Anyways, harkening back to banjo, i would be extatic if rare ported a version to the wii (HIGHLY unlikely) but i am fortunate enought to have a good friend who owns a 360, so i may be able to relive one of the best gaming experiences i’ve ever had for the N64….

    btw

    psychonauts is amazing, if u likd the banjo series, and own an xbox or ps2, BUY IT NOW

    #11, my neighbour has a 360, i play ot all the time, he has GoW, it’s a crappy game, the only thing it has going for it are it’s graphics. u also said that i haven’t played any solid shooter. i’ve played both halos, all the james bonds ( the n64 is definately the best), killzone, call of duty(1,2,and 3), and all the socoms. so think things through next time you try to dis someone

    pleas make the game to the ps3 it is awesome pleas come to the ps3 the 360 is good just banjo come to the ps3 pleas rare make the game come to the ps3

  • PS3 is not selling latest news

    This game will NEVER come out on the PS3 it’s owned by Microsoft it’s as simple as that,I expect there may be a slight possibility of a Wii version but I would think that that would only happen if MS want to strike harder at the PS3.

    @MAX
    You sound like you are desperatly trying to sell the PS3 LOL Gears of WAR sold over 2.3 million in “six weeks, its made 80 million pounds and rising” and your hero “Fall of man” (very poor game) sold about 6 thousand copies do you think that devoloper will now want to make games just for PS3 only.

    Cmon the banjo series is what im devoted to and i still love banjokazzoie but this was uncalled for wth for Xbox 360!!! its nintendo material not some lameo xbox material why not put it on wii or gamecube i got gamecube and getting wii im so frusterated why did they do this to upset the fans?

    I’m not actually sure why I’m leacing a comment, but owell.

    Firstly, all you people complaining that it’s not on Wii or PS3, deal with it. Microsoft bought Rare because they’re clever. Xbox 360 is not crap, but I’m not in the position to say any other console is if I haven’t played them. Wii is pretty kool, but PS3 is a rip-off and plus you can’t trust sony. So all you Nintendo and Sony fanboys/fangirls get a life. Banjo-Threeie isn’t coming out for them so if you want it (which you should) then buy a 360. Plus 360 has Viva Pinata which is really fun ^_^
