PSP gets new colors in Japan: silver, pink (after black, white) and shows off yellow, red, blue, army green
After launching the PSP in black last year and introducing a white color PSP earlier this year, now Sony showed new color variations.
Earlier this year, Sony Europe announced the release of a pink PSP on October 27, 2006. Now Sony Japan will follow, as it showed off a pink version of the PSP on the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) show floor last week. However, SCEJ is doing Japan one better, as a silver PSP was also on display. Both the silver and pink versions were confirmed to hit the Japanese market sometime soon.
GS reports Sony also took the opportunity to show off a few other stylish PSP color variations, although they were strictly prototypes and are not planned for release anywhere. One showcase had red, blue, and yellow PSPs, all with a metallic sheen, while another showcase featured two PSPs with different camouflage patterns (army green).
Cool! I think the Camaflouge ones will be packed with MGS Portable ops too!

New colors for the PSP are nice and all, but shouldn’t Sony be concentrating on making some decent games first? I use my PSP as a doorstop, except the case which fits my DS Lite perfectly. I pulled out my PSP out of retirement recently to play Loco Roco but I finished it in a few hours and the PSP is back to propping my office door open. I want to see games that don’t suck - not new case colors.
