Ninja Gaiden Sigma (Xbox remake) coming to PS3

The latest issue of Famitsu revealed that Tecmo’s Team Ninja is working on a remake of the Xbox game Ninja Gaiden (Black) called Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma isn’t a sequel, but a “complete version” of the Xbox Team Ninja title. Team Ninja is improving upon the Xbox version in all areas: The visuals, including characters, stages and effects, are being upgraded. Event scenes are being redone, and new scenes are being added. All cinema scenes in the PS3 version will be real time, Famitsu specifies.

For gameplay players can look forward to new moves, actions and weapons for Hayabusa. Racheal, one of the series’ heroines, will be playable, and when using her, you’ll get to experience the storyline from her perspective.

Development on Ninja Gaiden Sigma is currently at 25%. No release dates were announced, so it’ll be at least Spring 2007 before the game shows up.

For the record: Ninja Gaiden 2 is a different game that’s in development for Xbox 360 and is a new game in the series. Translation via IGN.

Whew! Let me take a deeeep breath! I thought that the Ninja Gaiden series was “leaving” the XBOX, but, in this case, it just lost its “exclusiveness” to the XBOX… still not admirable on TEAM NINJA’s part, but acceptable. ^^ Still love ya Itagaki.

it is not fair that it is only in ps3, it is a super remake but how money must spend everyone in the two consols because the TRUE sequel, i have heard, will exit only by xbox 360, and this remake have scenes never seen about the story, wihtout mention that rachel can be used. What they belive that we are? archimilloniars?

team ninja need to make ninja gaiden simga for the x-box 360 not just for the playstation3. cause playstation3 has more good games then the x-box360.
