Prince of Persia: Rival Swords for PSP

Ubisoft announced another Prince of Persia port (sorry it’s not a new game). This time its Prince of Persia: Rival Swords, which will be coming to PSP in Europe in late 2006 and in the US in early 2007.

Rival Swords is in development at Pipeworks Software, the same developer that brought Prince of Persia: Revelations to the PSP late last year. Just as Revelations was an expanded handheld version of the console game Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, Rival Swords builds on Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

In addition to the storyline and gameplay from The Two Thrones, Rival Swords will add exclusive levels and multiplayer modes geared toward the portable crowd. A versus mode will pit the Prince against his sinister alter-ego, the Dark Prince (in timed races) by activating switches in the levels they are playing, gamers can make it harder for their opponents to progress.
