Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest NES review by the Angry Nintendo Nerd

Castlevania II: Simon\'s Quest (NES)At request, this is the first in a series of bad video game reviews by the Angry Nintendo Nerd.

I hope you like coarse language, because this particular nerd loves to express how he feels about Konami’s 1988 NES game Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest with colorful words.

But can you blame him after seeing some of the “tricks” unsuspecting Castlevania fans had to pull off to progress in the game?

LOL Such a BAD game.. but such a God franchise.. But It has less swearinf (which is a Good hing) The TMNT review is FILLED with cursing:P

I think he was a bit too hard on that game. I like the direction they took it as far as having it being non-linear and having all of Transylvania to explore rather than just a single castle. It also had some of the best music of the series. The reviewer camplains about losing money every three lives, and while I agree, it was like that in Zelda as well. I have to agree with the reviewer as far as the sad lack of bosses, sthe scroll thing, the no swiming thing and the lame final battle though. I didn’t mind the night and day thing though it was faster than it shoud be and I liked the exploratory aspect of the game as well as finding things to buy like Zelda. The puzzles were a bit weird and hard, but I felt good when I finally figured some of the out. I honestly think that this is an interesting game that could have been great if they put more effort into it
