Catching Mew in Pokemon Red and Blue on GameBoy

While you can get Mew on your GameBoy Advance Pokemon games via Toys R Us on September 30th. Here’s an instructional video of how to actually catch Mew, the infamous 151st Pokemon, in the original GameBoy Red and Blue versions (fixed in the GBA games). Better yet its without the use of a cheating device, and on the first trip to Cerulean City.

i caught a clefairy instead. is it ok? i think it might because all you need to do it acth abra for it’s teleport.

Confirmed. This trick does work. And I caught a clefairy for its sing and it works just fine. Also, I actually caught the Abra the one time I didnt use sing. So its not required, just makes things alot easier. Thanks whoever posted this

this glitch is great easy to and your able to do it early in the game. for those of u with questions the glitch doesn’t really start untill u teleport away from the first battle . it doesn’t matter how u get an abra but just matters that u have one from that point. also before u teleport away make sure u have enough pokeballs and a lower leveled pokemon to attack. u also have to walk up to the slowpoke guy the right way. he has to walk to u so u can’t be right next to him. if u go right next to him the game will freeze. but if u saved beforeo the first teleport u should be fine. after u beat him its pretty straightforward about getting mew but have at the bare minimum 3 pokeballs i bought 15
