Sony shows new pink PSP and PS2

Sony today gave a whole new meaning to the words “pretty in pink” by announcing a limited edition pink PSP value pack that will launch in Europe on October 27th, to be followed by a pink PS2 bundle on November 1st.
Pink PSP
The PSP bundle, which will retail for £169 (€229), will come complete with headphones, a pouch, wrist strap and 32MB Memory Stick Duo. It will also include a UMD featuring videos, live performances and interviews with pop star Pink after Sony signed a new deal with the singer. SCEE‘s Stephane Hareau said the launch is about “much more than just launching a new colour”, adding: “The association with Pink will enable PSP to push new boundaries.” A very pink one 😛

Pink PS2 with controllers
The new pink PS2 will ship complete with two pink DualShock Analog controllers and a pink 8MB memory card. In the UK, the bundle will be available with karaoke party game, SingStar Pop, for a recommended retail price of £129.99 (€159.99 in the rest of Europe without the game). Sony lowered the other colored PS2’s prices to £94.99 (€129.99).

“PlayStation 2 is the accessible, affordable way to enjoy new social, communal and interactive entertainment experiences through software titles like SingStar, Buzz and EyeToy,” said Dan Hill, PlayStation 2 European Brand Manager.

“The Pink PlayStation 2 is funky, fresh, and fashionable, and will further broaden the console’s continuing popularity and relevance with a fun new twist.”

I still love my cool silver PStwo, but I had no idea PINK was so fashionably hypnotic, must… look… away.
