Pokemon Diamond and Pearl features online co-op, trading & the battle mode is shown in a new 3 minute demo video

This video just in from Japan, Pokemon Diamond & Pearl are looking good I’m putting up a list of new info below.
New features list!
* The Underground world of Shinou is a co-operative play area where you link up with a friend (Over Wireless and WiFi online) and search for items and Pokemon, tackling puzzles enroute. Fossils are primarily found here.
* The underground area is also where the secret bases are situated and there is a versus game called Flag Retrieval. Each person has a flag in their secret base and when connected you need to go to your friends base and retrieve their flag. There are Rocks and Leaves and many other traps that can slow you down or stop you on that route.
* The Battle Tower makes a return with global WiFi battling in a special WiFi Battle Room.
* There is a Global Trade Station where you can meet up with people online around the globe and trade with people or battle!
* The Global Trading Station allows you to put the Pokemon you’re willing to trade up and state what you would like in return including Pokemon Name, Level and Gender. If it finds a match that the trainers agree to, a trade is done. If not then it stays on the system until you cancel. You can also look at the Pokemon open for trades and put in an offer.

The Grass type, Naetle, will have the ability Overgrow.
The Fire type, Hikozaru, will have the ability Blaze.
And the Water type, Pochama, which will have the ability Torrent.

OMG!!! i’m so excited!!!! they have snow in this game and the day and night features. not to mention sun rising and sun setting!!! so cool!!! they pokemon are okay but i like the old ones more. I mean c’mon PIKACHU?? thats the most oringinal pokemon theyve got!!! i still have to wait 5 weeks until my pre-order comes in. i’m naming my character Muffin

Heh. This game has already revamped my Pokemon playing days. With online Battling, you never have to worry about getting bored and having no one to battle. Online trading will help A LOT of people out who don’t want to trade yet, and when they DO, aren’t nearby a friend. As for the Co-op… That will just add a whole next bar of fun to those who get beat a lot and would prefer to work together with a friend.

Not to mention the new Pokemon will add a fresh start to the game. Being able to Trade from GBA to DS is an awesome feature. I worked hard on the Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and then Gameboy Advance and was tired of losing my Pokemon when the new ones were made. I won’t miss my Kyogre and other legends this way. This game is going to bring Pokemon back to it’s former glory and give it back the popularity it deserves.

i really cant wait to get manaphy since i have the pokemon ranger and found the egg to download on my game when i get it!!!

i cant wait to get pearl, i have pokemon ranger and got the manaphy egg so i can download it to my pearl version! Some call pokemon ranger the key to pearl and diamond!
