No new James Bond 007 game until May 2nd 2008

In May Activision announced it had acquired the exclusive rights to develop and publish games based on the James Bond license, a (previously in EA hands). With the 007 Casino Royale movie opening November 17th 2006, you’d expected to see Activision’s first 007 game at the same time.

Apparently the rights won’t be exclusive to Activision until September 2007, and the company is planning to release its first 007 game in conjunction with the next film, planned for May 2nd, 2008.

Treyarch (Call of Duty 2: Big Red One) will be the studio making the game. Several job postings on the studio’s website are looking for artists and programmers to work specifically on the franchise.

The title and story of 2008’s Bond film, the 22nd in the series, have yet to be announced, but newcomer Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as the super smooth secret agent. Via IGN

Read this game developers (BEENOX {PC} version) The new 007 Game must be third person, not FPS. You MUST move smoothly in controlling 007. You must certainly can do highly intense fist fights, and make counter attacks like in Assassin’s Creed, (not saying to copy) and go to different locations in ceratin levels, like e.g. Level 1 is in MI6 HQ in London, then you must be able to explore London or certain area in London. You must be able to have an inventory and Upgradable weapons like HITMAN. A smart phone, to call someone to bring your ride, take ‘pictures’ in missions. Climb stuff like Altair or HITMAN, The prince etc. and must have a good car handling control, like GTA. Buy new weapons, cars, upgrades, earn skill points. It certainly must have good physics engine, like STRANGLEHOLD or Halo, Crysis. And you must be able to talk to people in ’selecting the sentence’ like in Oblivion or STALKER. Rumours can be heard. Some rumours can lead to rewards. This will attract many gamers, this is just a suggestion.

i agree with gamer heaven and it should notbe based on a movie but a different plot to make it special …..and should be called sumthing like James Bond United and u start off as sean connery and u work ur way uop by unlocking other james bond actors such as roger moore and pierce brosnan and they each have thie own special moves and hand differntly so u have the fun as playing as every james bond and expierience the best you can and one of the most important part it should have co op and ultimately life like james bond expierinces of team deathmatch car chases and all sorts of differnt types of online games but unlike gamer heaven i reckon that his ideas and mine should not a be just a suggesstion but actaully look in to and u will definately be surprised how fun it could be!!!!!!!!!!!!!
