3 Starter Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl revealed by Nintendo

Every week that the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl release date in Japan (September 28) closes in, more Pokemon info gets unveiled. This time the 3 starter Pokemon are shown in scans. The 3 starter Pokemon are named: Naetoru (Turtwig), Hikozaru (Chimchar) and Bocchama (Piplup). The 3 starter Pokemon types seem to be: Grass/Ground, Fire/Normal, and Flying/Water.

* These new pictures also show the Electabuzz evolution is named “Elecbul” and the Roselia evolution is named “Roserade“.
* Perappu has a weird attack called “Blabber“. You record a small sentence, and then when Perappu uses Blabber, he repeats the sentence and confuses the enemy.
* Contests now have three parts. The first is the visual part, where you must dress up your Pokemon to be judged. Second part is the dance segment, and third is the standard move appeal.
* Parukia is psychic/dragon types.
* Diaruga is steel/dragon.
* Dorapion has Hidden Poison and knows Poison Fang.
* Lucario knows Feint Attack.
* Pachirisu knows Charge.
* Spark is a physical attack.
* Erekiburu knows Giga Impact and has the ability Electric Engine.
* Rozureido knows Petal Dance.

Expect the new Pokemon games from Game Freak/Nintendo to arrive in America & Europe in the first half of 2007.

The release date is actually September 28th, in Japan. In the United States, it is rumoured to be in either Spring of 2007, or at least the first-half of 2007. Some say that it’ll be released May 20, 2007, which, if you compare the time between other Pokemon games being translated into English from Japanese, is about the same. Also, rumour says that the Manafi movie will be released to promote the new games in the Spring, or whenever it comes out.

Fast update! An article was just released, which stated the release month as February 2007. But…it could be a fake, seeing as how the season was earlier stated as Spring 2007, but…with video games such as these, ya never know…

o gosh man.in d/p they gave the grass starter a little credit.that’s the first mix since dat rubbish called venasaur.the grass starters frum r/s/e have gotten much stronger.and how could they have a fire monkey.i mean come on man.these guys juss runnin out of ideas for pokemon.

I think that some of you guys are stupid you arent appreciating the that the poor japanese people put alot of effort into these games also if it wasn for them wew wouldnt even have pokemon also you is haters the new staters are cooooooool.I think that i would choose the penguin.

Fast update! If you take the dates between when Pokemon: Dash! came out in Japan and the USA, it was about 101-102 days. If it takes just about that much time to translate DP into English, we’d have it in January (September 28th; 2 days to October, 31 days in October, 30 days in November, 31 in December, and 8 in January; January 8th could be the release date) Remember! Just an estimate, don’t bank on January or February, since most websites say Spring 2007…

okay first off i think the new starters are the best thing thats happened to the game sinced they allowed g/s/c pokemon in fr/lg and I’m so excited that there is going to be a new region. But a few things anger me…
1.I don’t like how diamond and pearl versions are only going to be available on ds
2.It’s a rip off if we have to wait till spring 07 and the jap’s only have to wait till the end of sept.
3.They should hurry up and reveal all the new pokemon when the game comes out in Japan.
