3 Starter Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl revealed by Nintendo

Every week that the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl release date in Japan (September 28) closes in, more Pokemon info gets unveiled. This time the 3 starter Pokemon are shown in scans. The 3 starter Pokemon are named: Naetoru (Turtwig), Hikozaru (Chimchar) and Bocchama (Piplup). The 3 starter Pokemon types seem to be: Grass/Ground, Fire/Normal, and Flying/Water.

* These new pictures also show the Electabuzz evolution is named “Elecbul” and the Roselia evolution is named “Roserade“.
* Perappu has a weird attack called “Blabber“. You record a small sentence, and then when Perappu uses Blabber, he repeats the sentence and confuses the enemy.
* Contests now have three parts. The first is the visual part, where you must dress up your Pokemon to be judged. Second part is the dance segment, and third is the standard move appeal.
* Parukia is psychic/dragon types.
* Diaruga is steel/dragon.
* Dorapion has Hidden Poison and knows Poison Fang.
* Lucario knows Feint Attack.
* Pachirisu knows Charge.
* Spark is a physical attack.
* Erekiburu knows Giga Impact and has the ability Electric Engine.
* Rozureido knows Petal Dance.

Expect the new Pokemon games from Game Freak/Nintendo to arrive in America & Europe in the first half of 2007.

they starters do not have second types!golduck looks psychic but he isnt.

elecbul and roserade are not theyre comfirmed names. they are just translations of the japanese names

i love monkeys so when i get the game i am soooooooooooo goin 2 get the monkey i think those pokemon r so cool and different then any kind of pokemon i ever saw they rock and i lov monkeys yeah!

wow i like Naetoru the best lol
before i guess that the a penguin pokemon will be the water type for diamond and pearl and I’m right
for the firemonkey type; i never saw it comming

my english guess names:
Naetoru= Leatyledon(leaf+cotyledon)my idea from my botany class
Hikozaru=Flarpien(flare+sapien) from an ape family lol
Pocchama=Berguin(Iceberg+penguin) hehehe i think its cool

Pfft. The new starters disapoint me. For one thing, the monkey and the turtle are ugly. ///Horrible/// D; The penguin is the only one that looks cute, but it is too cute. D; Unless there are good evolutions, I am just going to get mny starter pokemon and hoard it in my PC and train another pokemon. XD I am looking forward to D/P though. 3D will be weird, I prefer the 2D look, but it should be ok. I hope. It’s been a long time since the last new region. Finger’s crossed they won’t be the last pokemon game I buy! XD

i think the grass/fire/water starter thing is getting really old. how about electric, or rock or something? the monkey is kind of creepy and the turtle isn’t a new idea ( squrtle and torcoal). does anyone notice the resemblence in the turtle and treeko’s face? look see? thumbs down for these lame starter!
