Sony confirms PS3 Memory Card Adapter for PS2 & PSone save game transfer

Question: How do I save my PS2 Memory Card info to PS3?

Sony’s FAQ Answer: To use saved data on a PlayStation 2 memory card, you must copy the data onto a virtual memory card within the (PS3) hard disk.

This requires a PS2/PSone memory card adaptor to copy the data to your PlayStation 3. A (Sony) memory card adaptor is designed to edit, upload or download game saves to and from a EMS flash card or a smart media card.

Update: Some people have been asking where to get the PS3 Memory Card Adaptor, since a lot of retail stores don’t have them in stock. You can buy the PS3 Memory Card Adaptor online here at Amazon.

Hey Bob. I just got my PS3 a couple, of weeks ago, and it plays PS2 games fine. I don’t know why yours won’t play, unless you need to update the firmware.

I’ve a Question. Now how do I transfer the PS2 saved games that I have on my PS3 and transfer them BACK to a physical memory card? I can do PS2–>PS3, BUT NOT PS3–>PS2

OK did we forget something?i go play my need for speed game for the PS3 at my buds place and it sucks cuz all my cars i saved is on my PS3 at home.no memory card for the PS3?or is it possible to save it on the memory card adaptor that goes with the PS3.

how do you get a network configuration file for the ps3.
i want to play my ps2 online games on my ps3, but it says i need a network config file to be set up. It also says I need a start up disk to create the file. (the start up disk apparently came with the ethernet/modem for the ps2)
can anyone help

You guys are all dumb. READ THE FREAKIN’ MANUAL!!! G’Z THATS WHAT IT’S FOR! Everything u are all asking is clearly stated in the friggin manual that came with the system.
