Castlevania: Symphony of the Night comes to Xbox Live Arcade

Castlevania: Symphony of the NightThe September issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly reports that Konami is resurrecting the cult PS1 game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on Xbox Live Arcade. Along with Symphony of the Night, Konami is also bringing back other classic hits, some revered (Frogger, Contra, Super Contra, Track & Field) some obscure (Time Pilot), and some really obscure (Scramble).

1UP mentions Konami told them the game is tentatively set for a first quarter 2007 release on Xbox Live Arcade. They also mention the Xbox Live title is not the Sega Saturn version, but the famous PlayStation One version. Although we can expect an upgrade to HD graphics on the Xbox 360.
