Hideo Kojima helps design Super Smash Bros Brawl level

Nintendo Power’s Chris Hoffman was quoted in the last issue of the US magazine as saying about the new Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii that: “if you want to talk about something big, how about the news Hideo Kojima, Snake’s creator, is designing Snake’s level in Brawl? Snake’s inclusion means we’re not only getting one of the best characters in gaming, but one of the best developers as well.” Here’s another look at Snake’s unveiling in SSBB:

Putting free Flash games on the PSP

This is a tutorial by jonnyk429 on how to put Flash (.swf) games on the PSP even if there is no download link online. Please be aware that this is recorded and not captured from the PC itself, so the refresh rate shows up on the PC screen, but it’s still great info!
I really hope this guy finds his calling and will do voicework on bedtime stories for kids. “Fav-o-rites” is a classic!

Super Mario Bros 3 cool GBA commercial + making of video

Mario Advance 4This is a video for the re-release of the Famicom/NES game Super Mario Bros 3 (SMB3) on the GameBoy Advance (GBA) in Japan on July 11th, 2003. Nintendo wanted to make a big deal out of it, so had (what I think is) one of the most fantastic video game commercials ever made.

It’s really mostly a celebration of the free-spirited Super Mario world. The video centers around students rushing out of school on the release day of SMB3 for GBA, to get to the gamestore the fastest way possible. The sign at the end of the video says “Super Mario Bros 3 available now!”

This “School’s Out” ad featured 500 extras, was directed by Anthony Atanasio, with the help of famous Hong Kong stunt coordinator/stuntman Ridley Tsui. Let’s go behind the scenes with the “making of” for almost 8 minutes. Article continues »

Nintendo E3 Noise Makers. Where can I buy mine!?!?!

These things are so awesome. Check out these little noise makers from Nintendo’s E3 party. What I want to know is if they are available anywhere else, and if not, then how much they are selling for on ebay. Nintendo definitely should make some more of these and sell them in stores. I’d totally buy the entire collection! Whoever got all of these from E3 is very lucky indeed.
