Mario Hoops 3-on-3 character list and gameplay control videos

The below Mario Hoops 3-on-3 (aka Mario Slam Basketball in Europe) commercial from Japan unveils both Mario as well as Final Fantasy universe characters taking part in the game where powerups mix things up. Locales take you from a normal court to those in Mario Arena, Luigi’s Mansion, Princess Peach’s Castle, Wario’s Factory, DK Jungle, Koopa Troopa Beach, Ice Dome, Bowser’s Castle, Final Fantasy Field, and Dragon Quest Stadium. Since it’s developed by Square Enix for Nintendo DS it has a great character list…

Mario characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi, Toad, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Koopa, Koopa Jr, Koopa ParaTroopa, Fly Guy, Birdo & Boo.
Final Fantasy characters: Ninja, White Mage, Black Mage, Moogle & Cactuar.

Control is primarily played with the DS stylus shown below:

The video shows how you actually play the game using the DS’s touch screen and D-pad.

Release dates are: September 11 in the US, November 10 in Europe.

What about Bowser, I looked at some pics and it had Bowser in it! Please tell me he’s in it

Of course Bowser is in it, he’s one of the main characters. The game looks great but why hasn’t Diddy Kong been replaced by DK Jr. Also why has Dixie Kong been added to the list. They’re not even part of the Marioverse! I’ll admit that I don’t like the Final Fantasy characters in a Mario game but I can understand since it’s developed by SquareEnix. If anyone else thinks that Diddy should be replaced by DK Jr. and Dixie should be taken off, or to express your hatred for these two characters, please say!

Yeah, I agree with Mario’s comment, Diddy and Dixie should be scrapped and DK Jr. should be put in Diddy’s place.
They did it in Mario Tennis for the N64 and since no-one seems to like Diddy Kong then why keep him and his girlfriend in!

Some of the playable characters that have been added to recent Mario games have been great and Mario’s right, they should get rid of Diddy and Dixie. I hate them! Whatever happend to DK Jr.!? But also I think that the piantas and nokis should never return either.
I think Mario Hoops 3-on-3 is awesome but I also think that there should be an even bigger variety of characters available for Mario sports titles. Maybe Nintendo should think about adding characters such as Big Bob-omb, Goomboss, Sledge Bro. or even a Broozer perhaps?

i love mario slam b-ball but i think dixie kong and moogle should be scrapped and petey piranha,monty mole and kamek should be added
