First Pokemon Pearl-Diamond DS video

Here’s the first Pokemon Pearl and Diamond video from the official site. It’s looking good, thanks to the DS Lite the 2D sprites look brighter than ever and if you take a look at the houses as our hero walks by you’ll see they are 3D. No Pokemon fights are shown in the footage though.

In the game you are capable of transferring your hard trained Pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed & LeafGreen to these games after certain criteria have been met in Diamond & Pearl.

Game Freak is working hard to get this game out in Japan late 2006, and we’re expecting it to arrive 3 to 5 months later in the rest of the world and with a ton of translation work in Nintendo’s gotta-catch-em-all RPG series, that is very much so a guess based on past release dates. Via 4CR
