English dubbing ruins Yakuza
Two weeks ago we were still excited about the upcoming PS2-exclusive action adventure game from Japan titled Yakuza (by Sega) getting a release outside Japan (in the US due September). At that time Sega announced which English voice actors they hired to cover the game’s Japanese atmosphere.
Now we’re saddened by a new trailer Sega put out as proof that English dubbing can really ruin a game:
I’m not hearing any of those Hollywood voice actors yet, so they might do a better job by the time it’s finished?

I watched this trailer thinking that the English dubbing would be funny…and, indeed it was! Hilarious, even! What’s so bad about it, eh?
