God of War director wants Trilogy, God of War 3 not yet planned, but expected for PS3 none the less

According to reports in Electronic Gaming Monthly nine months ago, the first God of War sequel would come to PS2 (announced for February 2007), while another sequel will come to PS3 at some point in the future.

God of War game director Cory Barlog will be telling C&VG in an exclusive interview later today, that a Trilogy would be the ideal way for Kratos’ story to fully unfold.

Barlog said, “I would love to see a trilogy happen. Dave Jaffe and I have a pretty similar view as to where the story of Kratos should go and it does play itself out in a trilogy.”

Barlog continued, “But there are no trilogy plans as of right now. We are telling the continuation of Kratos’ life as we left off from the first game. The story in God of War II will begin to show a larger view of Kratos’ role within the mythological world.” Fingers crossed for more then.

I think this is TERRIBLE!!! Microsoft is doing all they can to make sure that their big-name games like Halo are receiving updates for the Xbox 360, but Sony isn’t!!!

Plus, Microsoft is adding SO MANY new games with new forms of gameplay and new forms of graphics to the Xbox 360, and Sony isn’t doing those things with the Playstation 3.

Microsoft is the only videogame console where gamers can play games like Gears of War, Mass Effect, Perfect Dark Zero, Call of Duty 2: Game of the Year Edition, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Blue Dragon, Enchanted Arms, Lost Odyssey, Bullet Witch, Too Human, Alan Wake, Shadowrun, Viva Piniata, Crackdown, Kameo: Elements of Power, Star Trek: Legacy, Saints Row, Tom Clacy’s: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, and MANY others!!!

If God of War 2 won’t be released until 2007 for the Playstation 2, then that means we won’t see God of War 3 on the Playstation 3 until late 2008 AT THE EARLIEST!!! We probably won’t see it until sometime in 2009!!! That is terrible!!!

I don’t want to wait until the fall of 2007 for Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Playstation 3, especially since the game will almost certainly be released for the Xbox 360. And I don’t want to wait until sometime in 2008 for Final Fantasy XIII. I don’t want to wait for God of War 3, especially since that is over 2.5 years away!!! 2009 is a LONG ways away!!!

Playstation 3 is just a BIG disappointment that isn’t worth the money right now. I will wait for some of those games like Final Fantasy and God of War 3 to be released before I consider purchasing a Playstation 3. By then, the price of the system will probably have been lowered. I will get an Xbox 360 because it has more fun games with better graphics and sound, and because it is more powerful than the Playstation 3 anyways. hi to the derictor of God of war, i suggest that i hope that they have still a game of God of War 3 for PS2, because i have read that the 3rd story of God of War, will be present in PS3. so i hopw that they have also in PS2..

im re-buying a ps2 for GoW 2 and i hope that GoW 3 goes to ps2 or even 360 (idc so much, i have a 360 and wii)
imho, i see no reasons to shell out $600 dollars US for a ps3, i only kno 2 f my frineds w/ a ps3, and they both are spoiled by their parents so they dont have to pay for anything, but i do.
