Double-confirmation-time. In an interview with Gamedaily, Daisuke Uchiyama, chief producer for Bandai Namco, not only confirmed the existence of Soul Calibur IV, but revealed that work on the title was already well underway on the new beat ‘em up, and that it would be joined by a new version of Tekken (# 6 right?).
During a discussion on the future of the Dragon Ball Z (DBZ) series, Uchiyama said that ideally he’d like to have committed his Tekken or Soul Calibur teams to a new DBZ fighting title, but during the merger between Namco and Bandai, a new Tekken and Soul Cailbur were already in the works, so it wasn’t possible.
No exclusivity or multiplatform announcements were made.
