Spy Hunter movie set for July 2007
The Spy Hunter adaptation has been kicking around for years. John Woo was originally tapped for the director’s chair, but who knows where that stands now. Nonetheless, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is still committed to having the idea put to film, and Universal’s still aiming for a July release.
The Rock mentions in an interview that gamers can expect a movie with a “great, well-written story that’s not overly complicated, and funny.”
But the former wrestler was exceptionally upbeat about the DOOM movie, and outside of a unintentionally hilarious one liners, DOOM wasn’t worth bragging about. Universal couldn’t have been happy, either; DOOM cost $60 million and Box Office Mojo says the movie failed to drum up more than $55 million worldwide.
