Wii SECRETS unveiled!

Get a Nintendo Wii at AmazonThe cat is out of the bag as they say. From Electronic Gaming Monthy magazine:

* A pricetag of $249 for Nintendo Wii “seems appropriate”.
* Console is always online – always online, even when off.
* Built-in speaker – On the controller – See below for more details.
* No improved graphics on Virtual Console – As in, they aren’t redoing the models, doesn’t talk about framerates and such.
* TG16 will have it’s 1st party games out at launch – 3rd party will come later as demand increases.
* Estimated prices for the Virtual Console download service are “a few dollars for NES, $5 for SNES and $10 for N64“.
* More Third Party Exclusives than Gamecube.
* As for first party games: In Zelda: Twilight Princess there will be no swinging the controller for the sword all the time, you just press a button. There are some cases where you will swing though – You’d get too tired too fast otherwise.

Controller secret details: “The controller will contain a…

Nintendo Wii controller…small amount of memory, which can be written to by the console (via Bluetooth) during the game. This will usually be used to store small sound files which can be heard via the controller’s small internal speaker. In demonstrations this system could be used, for example, to simulated the sound of gun shots coming from the controller when fired; when you put this together with the force feedback, it creates a game experience which surpasses anything we have been able to create before.

In other experiments we created a simple “Chinese whisper” style communication game which one player could whisper into the controller (we were even able to be in another room when doing this) and then the sound would be sent via the console to another player’s controller which they could then hear. Great fun!” I reckon that confirms a Microphone as well.

Special thanks to wii-volution for the email with details.

Sound combined with force feedback.. now that should immerse the player into the game even more then ever before. Just imagine the possibilities with an “horror” based game..

Wii’s gonna be so rad. It’s spiffyness and gnarlyness are so elite. Sounds like it’s gonna be wicked crazy fun

oops, forgot to add .tk to the end of my website

would you mind NOT leaving false things about nintendo? the us president of nintendo spacificly said that they would not relice the info about the price for another few months or so,

this”whisper” wotsit you are also going on about is also bollocks nintendo has said speaker not microphone and although its a possible add on into the back plug, its not on the controler

there is no internal memory, information is streamed through the wii-mote into your ear and is lost, all it is is a remote speaker, nothing else

ok, so yes, it will always be connected with nintendo connect 24, so.. yeah

anyway so sumerise please do not tell lies about what you would like it to be, there has been NO prices

EGM magazine saying the price “seems appropriate” is hardly official as it’s not said by Nintendo, but EGM who interviewed Nintendo, they didn’t want to confirm the price since part prices always fluctuate.

Wii did not lie about the microphone, no one said it was in the Wii remote controller, you misread that, because all wii said was there would be a microphone according to the magazine. Anyway, I’m really looking forward to it like you all!

i already know all there is tTOO know but one thing… WHEN IS IT COMING OUT?! Im only thirteen and i am going to spend about 500 or maybe more. I need to know so i could go down to best buy that day at 5 to be the first one.

in referance to #5
the wii Was that much,
the wiimote DOES have memory, as yoy can have mii’s on them to take to a freinds house. its always online,
and there are already mod-chips to play any region, burned, and modded games, as well as dvd’s, cds, and roms.
for saying none of it would be true, when it was, is and will be true, you sir, are an ass-hat.
