Guitar Hero bundle to rock European PS2′s
European gamers will be turning their amplifiers up to 11 this month, as US publisher RedOctane announces the European release of Guitar Hero for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. The Guitar Hero bundle will be released in the UK in April 2006, with the rest of Europe following shortly after, priced at £50 or €80 (including Guitar).
The guitar peripheral (based on the classic Gibson SG guitar) was created by RedOctane exclusively for Guitar Hero and enables gamers to play along to over 30 rock tunes – including 17 fully-licensed tracks made famous by artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, The Ramones, Jimi Hendrix and many more – as they advance from rock star wannabe to stadium guitar gods.
Developed by rhythm action veteran Harmonix, Guitar Hero is a phenomenon, which has picked up a stack of awards since its US debut in November 2005. The game received many gaming, music, multiplayer & innovation awards.
