Beyond Good & Evil 2 revived

The French gaming site Jeux Expo says Ubisoft’s recently knighted Michel Ancel has begun work on a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil. The original title featured a cliffhanger ending that had fans begging for a second game.

It was believed that plans for this sequel were cancelled because of poor sales of the first Beyond Good & Evil, despite critical acclaim. Jeux Expo’s report claims that the sequel is being developed for all next-gen consoles and will be released in 2007. The game will take place shortly after the events in the original, and will allow players to travel to different planets.

If this is true my faith in humanity will be reconfermed. Even if BGE2 was priced at a rediculus $100 I would still get in on day one. If you have not played this game get cracken because it is beautiful

Ubisoft has 4 months to put this sequel on the shelves.. if not I am going to punch Michel Ancel in the face.. don’t try me Michel I’ll do it!

I love this game! Hope it indeed comes out. It’s absolutely the best game I’ve EVER played.

This had better be the case, the Ubisoft Rep at work doesn’t know anything about it. But he is a dopy guy, didn’t seemt to know what I was talking about when I mentioned the first one. This is the only game that will make me buy whatever console it is on with my credit card and sod the cost! This game is what gaming is all about, and dispite the poor sales it did well in my two game stores, and never stays in stock long when we get a second hand one. They should re-release it platinum for people to see what a wonderful game this is. They did it for ICO why not BG&E? Please please let this be true!

I love this game but I will only buy the sequal if the xbox360 version performs better than all other versions. Because I already have my heart set on buying an xbox360 and dont want to play any games unless I can play them at their best.

This as got to be the best game ever, you never get bored with playing over and over again.

So let’s hope they do another one. I’ll buy which ever one it comes out on.

BG&E is a great game. if ubisoft made a sequel and spiffied it up a bit, it be a hit. wii’s got nothing going for it as of now, why not give it to nintendo?

this game could be a great franchise. someone, make this into a reality. it would be like how snakes on a plane was started, except the outcome would be a lot better.
