“I woke up in a cold dark basement.” Sorry about that ugly robot thing, it’s because Hudson did stuff to you. “Is this a dream or reality?” I hope it’s a nightmare, it looks like they killed Bomberman & put his skin on you. “Why? What for? Who brought me here?” That’s what everyone wants to know, why would they do that?

Defunct Games probably put it best: “When it comes to turning your famous 2D character into a famous 3D character youâ€™re always going to piss off a few loyalists. There are always going to be those loyalists who wonâ€™t accept change, companies have to weigh the risk of pissing off fans with the slight chance that they will attract new ones. If youâ€™re a Bomberman fan prepare to be shocked, because Hudson has something that just might stop your heart!”

I couldn’t agree more, the Bomberman of tomorrow is NOT what I expected! Just a terrible, terrible design, it’s hard to imagine that his hard-edged look even got it out of the drawing board … let alone turned into a real game coming out for the Xbox 360. I can’t wait until E3 so I can shake those people at Hudson and figure out what the hell is going on.

So, we talked with Hudson at E3, and they had a lot to say when it game to the redesign of Bomberman, We actually have an audio interview with them, but that will be posted at a later date. A brief overview is that they are releasing original bomberman on every other system, and that they needed a next-gen bomberman for a next-gen console.
