DS Lite versus DS & PSP backlight

Here’s a great video review of the original DS versus the new DS Lite and it’s features. Since you’re probably most interested in the improved backlight, here’s the movie*:

Besides now looking very easy on the eyes, it’s also equally slick looking and about twice as bright on the maximum light level as the PSP’s backlight. Check it out yourself:

i dunno about DS but PSP is realli realli dark especilly when ur outside at a sunny day.

p.s. u dun need a AC adapter to get the max brightness on PSP…Custom firmware will do

However, even with the 4th (maximum) brightness…you still cant realli see it clearly…

what criteria by which did you measure “brightness”? what were the display setting on both the ds and psp? how long had the psp been inactive(screen brighness enters the lowest level when left inactive for ~15 seconds)? how old are the lcd displays in both the ds and psp(all liquid crystal displays diminish in light intensity over time)? if you were to place the digital image files displayed on the psp and ds side by side on a computer screen, would they be the same colour, or just point out another very uncontrolled variable in this opinion building venture?

The DS sucks huge compared to the PSP. I mean who gives a sh*t if it has a brighter screen. the psp rocks and the ds sucks!!!!!

I have a DS, and I have a psp 2000 on the way. I do like my DS, but switching from using the touch screen and using the buttons gets irritating fast, unless you’re only using one or the other. The PSP just looks so much more sophisticated and the graphics are far better than what I’ve seen on my DS. I have no plans on getting rid of my DS anytime soon, though.

Alrght i got both Ds and Psp Lite (slim)

I do not own the ds lite so i cant compare britness but no one can say ds is better then PSP, Psp does so mjuch more its really an entertenment center and has way better graphics, psp plays music, Videos, You can watch all your pictures, Brownse the internet (Wi-Fi) and play good graphics game like Grand Theft Auto , And you do all this with something slimmer then the DS,

But the DS probly is the most fun portable system to paly at with its touch screen and is also 50$ cheaper then the PSP

I recomend the PSP to people who doesent want to have an mp3/mp4 player and a console at the same time, and to probly young adults and teens and the DS to Young Kids 10 and down and Adults 35+ and to Cool Elders since ds offers games like Brain age, And the DS is so simple to operate
